Bodhigayavijjalaya 980 Institute in coordinating with the governments of India and Thailand

have organized a ceremony for the Holy Buddha relics, the relics of Sariputta and Moggallana transported from the Republic of India to be enshrined between 22 February – 19 March 2024, part of the project of Ganga-Mekong Holy Buddha Relics Dhammayatra



Bodhigayavijjalaya Institute 980 ‘s missions are to undertake various domestic and foreign projects to propagate Buddhism, to establish cooperation, to interchange knowledge, and to help a good understanding for harmony and peace among Asian Buddhist countries, adhering
to the principles of Buddhism which would constitute long-last prosperity following Eightfold path of the Buddha.
Bodhigayavijjalaya Institute 980 is an independent, non-profit organization founded by a group of faithful Buddhists dedecating to assert Buddhism popularity through numerous activities with the help from private and government sectors to gain full success. Also, the institute has realized that most human crises can be solved by following Buddha’s teachings and guidance; It has worked on this conception for 17 years. The well-recognized projects successfully were held twice: first, Dhammayatra to 5 Countries Following the Noble Monks of the Mekong River Basins in 2017 and second, Dhammayatra in 5 Mekong River Basin Countries – Buddhist Diplomacy to Global Peace in 2019








The Dhammayatra projects have been aimed to unite all Buddhist countries of the Mekong
since these countries share the same “Patron”, the Lord Buddha and same “ Matron”, the Mekong River, a great mother nurturing lives in the region. The projects are intended to promote and cultivate Buddhism as a heritage for future generation. Following those two successfully recognised projects mentioned above is the third one“Ganga -Mekong Holy Buddha Relics Dhammayatra “ constructed to be the greatest and grandest Dhammayatra in history as it associates Ganga lands of Buddha ‘s life and Mekong river lands
of Buddhists by enshrinement of the Sacred Relics of the Lord Buddha, transported from
National Museum, New Delhi, followed by the relics of the great disciples Sariputtra and Moggalana from Sanchi Stupa, India. The grand ceremony for the relics will be held between February and March 2024. This ceremony is organized by the Bodhigayavijjalaya Institute 980 in cooperation with the governments of India,Thailand and Cambodia to bring forward faiths, unity and harmony among the people to live by Lord Buddha ‘s preachings. The relics will be enshrined for the public to pay reverence after a century ago. The occasion is personified as the Lord Buddha ‘s journey to bless mankind himself. Joining this reception is a great opportunity to embrace the Lord Buddha ‘s preaching brought forward affection, harmony and
peace in Asia, the land where Buddhism was founded and firmly established over 2,600 years ago.
