"Koh Lanta District" is one of the eight districts of Krabi province with more than 122 years' history. Abundance of natural resources, breathtaking sea, sky, beaches and fifty-three islands combine to form Koh Lanta District. Our home is "multicultural" composed of our brothers and sisters of Muslims, Thai Buddhists, Thais of Chinese descents, and Sea people (Thai Mai People).
"Lanta Lanta Festival" is a crucial annual festival of Koh Lanta people. Our objective is to present our lifestyles and cultures. We have a great number of things to be proud of: our landscapes, people, cultures.
18"h Lanta Lanta Festival 2023 is scheduled to be during 3-5th March 2023 at Lanta Old Town, Sriraya House (Former district office) Koh Lanta Yai Sub-district, Koh Lanta District, Krabi
Province. Please come and see our Lanta people's story with Lanta Time Machine "People, travel, existence, cultures and environment conservation". There will be shops from eleven communities, Sriraya walking streets, Lanta Ratri field, hotel booths, concerts and shows from students.
On 3'd March, there will be a grand opening ceremony with shows from local students, a parade competition from six local government organizations, boat parades "Pued Lay Keh Rueo"
and contest of sculpture from trash.
On 4th March, please join our folk plays, coconut grating contest, shredded rice grain pounding, oil-coated pole, etc., and seminar on "look back, look forward for our home Lanta" to know on which way our hometown is going to. The final activity will be shows from students.
On 5th March, enjoy our local menus, local foods by Lanta people "Goat soup and mixed rice salad", Lanta pizzas, and shows from our students.
